About

Kaci Coffee, MTOM, L.Ac., Diplomate O.M., Functional Nutrition Practitioner

Kaci, a Broken Arrow native, is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Functional Medicine Practitioner. She is the owner of Performance Acupuncture & Functional Nutrition. Kaci first experienced the efficacy of Acupuncture and Chinese medicine, in 1999, when she suffered a debilitating shoulder injury while playing third base for Ole Miss. She continued experiencing excruciating pain, post-op, and was unclear if she’d be able to play her senior year. With regular acupuncture treatments, the pain decreased, full strength and mobility were restored for a successful recovery and completion of her collegiate career and eventual draft into the Women’s Professional Softball League.

After Kaci earned her B.A. in Psychology, she began the pursuit of a graduate degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Emperor’s College in 2002. She earned her Master of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine degree from Emperor’s College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Monica, CA in December 2006 where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She also studied at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Chengdu, China. Upon completion of the rigorous 4-year program, she began a private practice in Santa Monica, CA and later opened a second practice in Irvine, CA. Kaci holds acupuncture licensure in California and Nationally.

Kaci’s post-graduate education includes extensive training in Sports Medicine Acupuncture, Functional Medicine with Dr. Datis Kharrazian, Dr. Thomas Culleton, Apex Energetics and Functional Medicine University. Her practice focuses primarily on muscle sprain/strains, joint pain, sports injuries, thyroid imbalance, diabetes and other blood sugar imbalances, iron deficiency, anemias, adrenal fatigue, gastrointestinal conditions, autoimmune conditions, and psycho-emotional imbalances.

In her life outside of the office, Kaci enjoys traveling, long chats over dinner with good friends and attempting to keep her Yorkies, Oliver and Chula, from terrorizing the UPS man.
